About

About the game

Country Drive Simulator is a first-person simulation of running a small trucking business, and of living the life that comes with it. You start with a used van, a rented office and a stack of bills in a fictional 36 km² slice of rural America: small towns, farms, highways, a coastal strip and industrial yards, all open from the first minute.

Cargo is physical. Boxes slide, pallets tip and fragile goods break, so you load by hand, with a hand truck or with a forklift, strap the load and sign the bill of lading before the gate opens. On the road, weigh stations, police checkpoints and customs seals turn a lazy shortcut into a fine. What arrives intact is what you get paid for.

The company around the truck is just as real: carrier registration, insurance, loans, an annual income-tax return, two dozen world events that move freight rates, a licence system and a skill tree. Vehicles wear out part by part. And the driver eats, sleeps, tires and breaks hours-of-service rules at their own cost.

Early Access

Why Early Access?
Country Drive Simulator combines three systems that each need real players to balance: a trucking economy, vehicle wear and a survival layer. We would rather tune prices, wear rates and job pacing on live feedback than guess. Early Access also lets us grow the map and fleet in the open.
How long will the game be in Early Access?
We plan on 18 to 24 months. The timeline may change based on feedback and scope.
How will the full version differ from the Early Access version?
Planned for the full release: new regions (an airport, a container port, additional towns and large depots with interiors), more vehicles and trailer types, visible seasons, an expanded inventory and trade framework, more job types and further optimisation. Features will be added in updates throughout Early Access.
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
The current build is fully playable from start to a sustainable company. It includes the 36 km² map with several towns and rural areas, over 20 vehicles, physical cargo with hand, hand-truck and forklift loading, bills of lading, weigh stations, police checks and customs, a company economy with bills, loans, insurance, income tax, world events, licences and a skill tree, vehicle wear and repair with paint, wash and accessories, survival and sleep systems with hours-of-service rules, dynamic weather and a day–night cycle, Steam Achievements and 18 interface languages. Some content is placeholder and balance is ongoing.
Will the price change after Early Access?
The price may increase when the game leaves Early Access. Anyone who buys during Early Access keeps all future updates at no extra cost.
How can the community get involved?
Through Steam Community discussions and our Discord. We post update notes with every patch, keep a public roadmap and run feedback threads on economy balance, vehicle handling and new regions.
