Welcome to the Country Drive Simulator devlog

This is the new home of Country Drive Simulator on the web, and the place where we will post longer updates about how the game is coming along.

What is Country Drive Simulator?

Country Drive Simulator is a first-person driving, logistics and life simulation set in 36 km² of fictional rural America. You begin with a cheap used van, a rented office and a stack of bills. Where you go from there, from local deliveries to semi-truck runs across county lines, is up to you.

It is a game about everything that happens between picking up a load and paying the month’s bills:

  • A company, not just a truck. Registration, bills, loans, insurance, income tax, licences, a skill tree and world events that move prices.
  • Physical cargo. Load by hand, with a hand truck or with a forklift, and sign the bill of lading. Damage comes straight off the payout.
  • Regulated roads. Weigh stations, police checkpoints, customs seals and hours-of-service rules.
  • Vehicles that wear. Over 20 vehicles, from sedans to semi-trucks, with brakes, tyres, suspension, fluids and lights that fail.
  • A driver who lives. Hunger, fatigue, stress and sleep; shops, diners, radio and a cab you can sleep in.

Early Access

The game is planned to launch in Steam Early Access in Q4 2026. The core loop is complete and playable today. Early Access, which we expect to last 18 to 24 months, is where we expand the map, grow the fleet and tune the economy with your feedback.

Planned for the full release:

  • New regions: an airport, a container port, additional towns and large depots with interiors
  • More vehicles and trailer types
  • Visible seasons
  • An expanded inventory and trade framework
  • More job types
